2017 already saw ROMA's CDL Comfort & Design Lamella for external venetian blinds awarded with the Red Dot Award for product design. Now, ROMA has also won this internationally renowned design award for its CDL online video advert. In the "Communication Design" category, the award went to our "Catwalk" video ad.
Once a year, an international jury of experts hands out the prestigious Red Dot Award, which is a recognised seal of approval for high creative achievement and innovation. Again this year, ROMA dazzled the jury members with its "Catwalk" online video advert, which then proudly collected an award. The award ceremony is on the 26 October in Berlin, Germany.
The nationwide ROMA TV campagin in Germany for the ROMA CDL product greatly benefited from the online video ad launched on the internet. In the video, the main character wants total privacy to strut about at home on her own personal catwalk, trying on different outfits for fun. With ROMA CDL, it couldn't be easier! The closely overlapping slats and the specially-designed guide rails gives the secret catwalker total privacy, from top to bottom and left to right, even with bright indoor lighting at night. And that's not all – this product also protects occupants from the heat of the sun and burglars.
The communications agency Baschnegger Ammann Partner, based in Dornbirn (Austria), came up with the idea, design and screenplay for the "Catwalk" online video ad which was directed by Tim Löhr and produced by Zeitsprung Commercial (Düsseldorf, Germany).
